I understand that I can purchase Office/Outlook 2016 for the iMac and that I can import my historic emails from windows. However, thus far my show stopper is it appears that I would no longer be able to sync contacts and calendars between Outlook 2016 for iMac and El Capitain or my several iDevices. Microsoft support for Outlook for iMac tells me it is because the new iMac operating system will no longer allow Outlook to sync, whereas it did before.
